TRUE TENSION AIRFRAME DESIGN
The SlingWing V4 sports a True Tension Airframe, featuring a calculated taper from the center to the wing tips. This design creates a high-tension canopy that offers superior balance and handling with top-notch flex characteristics. The front is stiff while the wing tips are softer, allowing for smooth power delivery and control, even in gusty conditions. With the SlingWing V4, you can flag out and surf with confidence!
FRAMELITE CONSTRUCTION
The SlingWing V4’s FrameLite construction uses high-tenacity polyester with biaxial gridding and emulsion coating to eliminate stretch in all directions. This results in a balanced feel, better power control, and stable, effortless luffing while surfing. The 2×2 weave structure of FrameLite makes the airframe stiff and durable, ensuring the SlingWing V4 is ready for multi-season use. At just 160 grams per square meter, FrameLite offers the perfect blend of flex, strength, stiffness, and weight.
RIGID H-GRID CANOPY CONSTRUCTION
With its H-Grid Rigid canopy construction, the SlingWing V4 has doubled the horizontal canopy paneling count. This innovative design includes strategic seaming that enhances the high-tension canopy profile. Reinforced seams and a gridded canopy prevent stretching and eliminate the risk of catastrophic blowouts or rips, even if your foil goes through the wing.
VERSASTRUT
The VersaStrut hybrid canted strut design works seamlessly with the H-Grid Rigid Canopy Construction to control the SlingWing V4’s high-tension canopy profile. This design reduces in-fill wall connections in the mid-section and allows for direct strut-to-canopy connections toward the trailing edge. The forward section of the strut moves the wing away from the rider, providing dampening and eliminating slack in rider input. This direct connection gives you a quick and precise response when pumping and distributes loads evenly across the canopy.
SLINGGRIP ALUMINUM HANDLES
The SlingWing V4 features SlingGrip Aluminum handles with a reduced 27-millimeter diameter, dual-patterned EVA, and an ergonomically optimized pentagonal circumference. These handles provide all-day comfort and improved roll control, perfectly matching your grip. The pistol-grip front handle lets you luff the wing and ride the swell without moving your hand. The angled design gives you the power to regulate the wing’s power while keeping the trailing edge up.
CLICKCONNECT
The SlingWing V4 also boasts the ClickConnect system, the easiest and quickest handle connection available. No tools are needed—just slide the handle into the connection point on the strut until it clicks. Engineered for perfection, the ClickConnect mounts are sewn around the strut to distribute load and prevent pinch points.
